It was a dark and stormy night....

Well, that's not exactly how things started out for Jim and Anita, but it's quite the story to tell.

It all started about 11 years ago in the Spring of 1989. Jim had just finished his third year of university in Langley, BC when he decided that he needed to take a break from all of the partying. Originally from northen BC, he wanted to remain in the Lower Mainland to figure out what to do with the rest of his life. While in university, Jim met a friend and he offered to have Jim stay at his place until things got up and running for Jim. So, off Jim goes to live with his buddy and his family in Surrey.

The family consisted of a mom, a dad, and three brothers...all of whom had gone or were going to a private school in Surrey. The mom of the household was also a part-time teacher at this private school and one day asked Jim if he wanted to come to the school to see what it was all about. Having nothing else to do, Jim accepted the offer and the rest is history.

When Jim arrived at the school, it was quite apparent that he was an outsider as all the students were decked out in their school uniforms and Jim was adorned with ripped jeans and a jean jacket. Needless to say, he walked around the school for a bit, checking things out. He was checking out the cafeteria and decided to walk out into the hallway. As he stepped out, a vision of loveliness flashed before his eyes. He'd never seen anything like her in his entire life! "Well shake a stick at me and knock me over with a bowling ball," exclaimed Jim to himself.

"Now that, "said Jim "is something I can get used to!"

He didn't see much of her, but he saw enough to know that this was the woman for him. See much of her? How about not even her face. He saw this young lady walking down the hall, facing the other way and didn't even see her face. Sheesh, whatta goofball. The strange part of this story is that Jim said right then and there in his tracks that this was the woman he was going to marry. Yep. This was the one.

Her name: "Mystery Woman" Bugg.

Knowing full well that he couldn't let this life changing experience just vanish, he mentioned that night to one of the guys in the house that he'd seen this girl at the school and wondered who it was. Out pops the school yearbook to try to find the identity of the mystery woman. Truth is, Jim didn't even see her face, so the yearbook wasn't much help. To make a long story short, it was figured out that this beauteous vision was none other than 'Anita...Goddess of Lovely Visions'.

So, now the task was to get this chickeepoo to notice Jim. Well, Jim quickly learned that this type of news travels fast in a small private school. Did I say fast? I meant 48 times the speed of light. So, Jim again goes to the school the next day to help out with an art class. Low and behold, this was to be fateful day he would meet his Vision of Loveliness...Anita. It was quite a surreal experience, and from all accounts it sort of happened like this:

Jim was coming out of the cafeteria at lunch time with a few people and Anita was coming down the hall at exactly the same time with a few of her friends. To this day we don't know if this was premeditated, but the two groups of people converged somewhere just out side of the cafeteria and stopped. The guy with Jim goes "Jim, this is Anita. Anita, this is Jim."

Well, I tell you, Jim being the suave and always in control guy he is says, "Uh, hi." Anita said hi as well and then they two groups separated and went on their merry way. That was it. The beginning of the rest of the story.

MORE TO COME....STAY TUNED FOR THE REST OF THE STORY>>>>
